1988 trx350 fourtrax foreman 4x4
My 4 wheeler will not start. Was running when I parked it a few weeks ago. It acts like it is not getting fire but checked coil and plug is arcing. Checked fuel filter. Is problem in carberator? Battery is good.

You may have to remove the carb and clean all the jets and the internals of the carb. Remove the jets when cleaning. You can use a torch tip cleaner or the wire from a wire brush to clean the insides of the jets.

twist tie
I've been using the wire from a twist tie for years. It bends easily so as not to do any damage.(Personal preference)

try checking to see that your choke cable is hooked into your carburator. I recently had this probelm and found out that the threads had gotten weak and the choke cable came out of the carburetor

1988 TRX 350 not running
I had a 1986 TRX 350....it quit running and I found a bad connection to the fuel pump as the problem. checking fuel filter and the pump is working would be good first steps......

I had a motor that ran one day and wouldn't start the next. The valves were tight. Adjusted the valves and it started and ran normally - actually had a little more power than before.
