change 04 cam to a 2007 cam?

i just installed a sparks kit into my friends 2007 trx 450, i have a 2004.......i have no motor work done except a slip on pipe with a 2007 head pipe ( thicker) will i gain anything from putting his cam into my quad?

No there will be no gain, get you a HRC cam or or a Hot Cam stage II you won't have to change valve springs but will have to shim it to spec.
