just wondering if anyone has any mods/upgrades to suggest to me for my atv (performance related).

and also.....what exhaust is better for my atv, fmf or hmf?

I like the HMF pipes!
AIr filter and jet the carb and you will see HP gains. You may want to look at a new CDI aswell.

Does anybody know to change the exhaust valve springs in the tr250ex?

I ask because it makes a rattle/his noise when running and its not blown up.

I know how to change the valve springs and in the process of tearing down the motor you might find the source of your rattle. Of course, if you know that the valve springs are the source of the rattle, just lock the crank shaft at TDC, pressurize the combustion chamber to 150psi, use an external valve spring compressor, remove the broken spring, use the spring compressor to install the new spring and the job is basically done.

Other than a K&N filter, I plan to use a UNI. Tell me about a differant CDI. How and What does it do to improve performance over the stock Honda CDI?
What is a reliable unit to consider?
Who makes a kit to rejet the Honda carb? I want to keep the stock Honda exhaust. Its quiet and has a spark arrester.

Uni is a smart choice over K&N for recreational riding. K&N is a high maintenance unit and should be used for racing only.

If you are keeping the stock exhaust, rejetting should not be necessary.

A different CDI changes the advance curve and eliminates the rev limiter (desired for aggressive riding)

Thanks for the info. I'll keep the rev-limiter. No need to hurt the engine.
