04 ex with 05 ex engine

Does anyone know if the '05 and newer 400ex engines (with reverse) fit into a '04 and older ex frame without to many modifications

i know a guy that has one(02with07 motor) and i was told it was direct bolt up, just had to gear up reverse cable
