lights dim when on the gas
Question for the masses...I have a 1988 300 run great and lights are bright on idle but when I give it throttle they dim right down to almost nothing....not good when riding at night....
Any help suggestions are appreciated...

You may have a weak battery. Make sure you have a good battery and make sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight. If that doesn't fix the problem, your charging system probably isn't working good.

thanks helmut..I actually do need a new battery (mine is toast) and never even considered this to be an issue figured the system would run them...Thanx

The charging system will run them, but they won't be as bright as they would with a good battery.
