Rancher front differential removal

Working on a 2001 TRX350FM. I've done everything according to the repair manual but am having a helluva time getting the front drive out of the frame. It looks like it has to come out between the "A" frames but I can't figure it out. Has anyone done this before? What is the secret? Both front axles are out so it should be quite simple.
