Default 84 TRX200 gear shift shaft

Hey guys new here was wondering how hard it is to change out the gearshift shaft. the one on my trx i just bought is stripped all help is appreciated

Basically - remove the right hand engine cover, remove the clutch, replace the shift shaft and reassemble. You will need a special spanner socket to remove the clutch nut, a cover gasket and a shift shaft (which is no longer available from Honda). Try to find a good used one before you disassemble it.

hey here 2 help look at this part for me i think its what i need but wanna make sure im new to all this and dont wanna mess anything up its atvhondaparts.com and the part number is 24510-958-000 all help is appreciated

24610-958-000 Yep - that's the correct Honda part number - new it's about $40
The gasket you need is 11394-KE4-770 - about $15
