Hi, new here and to the trx250 fourtrax 1986. I need a shutoff valve as the origanal one is not rebuilable. I wondered if there was a replacement aftermarket that would bolt up. $65.00 is as cheep as I have found the replacement for.
Bad news - I cannot find an aftermarket petcock for your machine and the OEM has a MSRP of $71 in my neck of the woods. Good news - the OEM is still available for that antique or for $15 you could just put in a Motion Pro (or other) in-line shut off. Maybe look on EBAY for a used one. More bad news - ethanol alcohol that is added to gas causes the rubber in the petcock to go bad causing the problem. A new one will go bad after a time too.
