I'm going to need help!
I just bought a 1984 Honda TRX 200 from a local guy and it has a problem I want to diagnose and fix. I've never done this kind of repair before and I'm going to need help. I found this forum and decided it looked like just the ticket for me.
My mechanical experience is limited to tune-ups, changing starters, solenoids, alternators, fuel pumps, batteries, and the like. I have changed a U-joint and done a few other projects - I can't think of them all right now. All prior work has been done on cars and trucks. I enjoy it, but I really want to learn more. My friends have told me I could do more if I just tried.
So, I found this '84 Honda TRX 200 that's in overall good shape but has a fuel problem that may have already led to an engine problem. I'm going to try to diagnose and fix it - if I don't chicken out.
I'm a girl, well, actually a woman - 51 years old and love to work with my hands but never grew up with anyone mechanically inclined. I started working on my own vehicles (basic stuff) when I felt ripped off due to my lack of knowledge. Anyway, I like working with my hands and I really do want to learn more and be able to maintain the small engines around my place with confidence.
