hi,can anyone tell me what an ATV gold valve shock kit is?How it works,does it work with stock shocks or what?Is it worth looking @ or a waste of money? any help?,,,,,,
The Gold Valve is a replacement valve for the stock valve in the shock. It is adjustable and controls the oil flow during compression and rebound to maximize the available travel of the shock. Adjusted properly for the weight of the machine plus rider in full gear, type of riding and rider's ability; it will provide better control than the stock valve (which is averaged to suit a wide range of riders).
In my opinion, unless you are racing and need an edge, it's a waste of money. I race and never had a gold valve installed, but I don't race professionally, just for fun.
