Default Need help replacing rear brake pads

Hi all,
I'm trying to change my rear brake pads on my 02 400EX. I used a C clamp to push the piston back into the caliper but the outer pad is so thick that it interferes with the caliper bracket. Does anyone have any tips or hints on how to adjust the bracket position? It appears to be floating and is held on with two bolts. One is under a rubber boot and the other is a hex head bolt that I tried turning but it didn't have any affect. Thanks in advance.

Got it! The bolt that hold the caliper to the bracket (Allen head bolt) actually slides and allows the caliper to be adjusted. Mine was really frozen up and stuck. I took it all apart, cleaned and greased and now it's all back together!

Keep those parts lubed and they will work right. I have had this problem before. I usually clean my brake components after every third ride.
