Electrical problems, HELP!

Hey guys, i'm a new owner of a 400ex and have alot to learn. I replaced the spark plug and battery and after finishing up i took it for a ride. I forgot to put the battery plate back on and ripped the battery out like an idiot. I replaced the battery cables but when i went to start it up nothing happens at all. any suggestions will help. I can post a picture or 2, so maybe you can see if i have the wiring wrong.

Yeah - pictures would be helpful, but better yet - take it to a shop and have it fixed properly.

I figured it out. The red wire from the wiring harness wasnt connected to the battery. Thanks for the help though guys.

don't give up on us, you can get more then "take it to a shop" off this site
