400ex gas tank support

So I'm putting together a 02 400ex that came in parts, trying to figure out how things go, and hoping I have all of the parts. I've had to order a few, but so far so good.
Now I'm at the gas tank. What holds it up? I see the two m6 screws in the front by the handle bars, but what holds the rear up? Right now it looks like it sits on the throttle cable elbow and is supported a little by the plastics. That can't be right, right?
Does it get strapped down? I think I'm missing stuff.

"Good job, guys. "

The fuel tank sets on a plastic heat shield and is held down by a rubber strap on each side - follow the link to see a part breakdown World of Powersports' 2002 Honda TRX400EX | FUEL TANK Parts List

That explains a lot, thank you. Do you have one of those Shields?
Also, how is the clutch cable routed to be safe from the headers. Does it really go right between them?

400EX cable routing

I do not have one of the shields and the cable does go between the head pipes - check the cable routing here

That is so helpful! Thank you. Is that from the manual? I couldn't find it in the one I have.
Uh oh, where's my ignition coil? Doh time to contact PO again.

That is from the factory Honda manual - not a Clymer's or Haynes POS
