2000 400ex no power

Ex was sitting for awhile so i tried to jump it off and had the jumper cables backwards. Now there is no lights or even spark when i put cables on bike. I changed the fuse what else to check for?

Connecting jumpers backwards is more damaging to the battery than anything else.

Power goes to the key switch via the red wire - when the switch is turned on, the black wire becomes hot - the black wire goes to the neutral light, the rec/reg and the headlight switch - when the light switch is turned on, the brown wire becomes hot and goes to the dimmer switch and the taillight. Besides the fuse, only connections and switches impede the the operation of the electrical equipment.

If the rec/reg was damaged, there would be an arc at the battery terminals when the cables are connected.
