I recently got a 03 400ex and im new to the whole atv thing so i cleaned the carb out since its been sitting for a couple of years and got new battery,airfilter,gas but it wont turn over it starts with starting fluid then dies after 3sec please help ?

The carb needs a complete detailed cleaning by an experienced mechanic or maybe even replaced

I know a guy that has a shop and works on automotive and i took the carb to him and he took it apart and cleaned it

Don't know what to tell you, but motorcycle carbs are not the same as car carbs - a lawn mower shop might do a better job than a car mechanic - for my money, I would take it to an experienced motorcycle mechanic

I heard that the carb is not getting gas how do i fix this what do i need to clean to fix this
