I bought this used TRX250, I was told it just needed a new battery but that was not the issue. It starts only when holding on to the throttle even with the choke all the way out. Once I release the throttle it turns off. I cleaned out the carb and rebuilt it but it still doesn't stay on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you can keep it idling by holding the throttle - just turn the idle speed screw to where it idles satisfactorily

I've tried that already and it didnt work. I turned it both ways.

My guess is you have a problem with the carb - maybe a piece is missing

I already checked that and theres nothing missing.

Hows the fuel pump and filter doing? Looks like a fuel starvation issue.
