I've had a 1986 350D for awhile now, never really had any issues with it starting via the starter button, but I just walked out to it earlier after it'd been sitting for a few months, and I can't get the neutral light to illuminate, so no electric start. I bypassed the neutral switch years ago, so that's not in play. Jumped the solenoid and mechanically rolled the motor over, but no spark.

Come to think of it, none of the dash lights came on..... random failure of the ignition switch? How could I confirm that's the case? Any other ideas? Put in reverse and all, no reverse light either, that switch is still connected, as is the oil temp switch.

Mouse chewed wire? When was he battery last charged? Need to be charged at 1 amp or less until fully charged every 30 days for a conventional FLA battery and every 60 days for an AGM battery. Might just be a dead battery.

I didn't see any, but I did discover it appears that the PO disconnected the kill switch. I've never used it, always just used ignition for on/off.

Not a battery issue, I had 13V at the terminals. What's a quick n easy way to confirm the ignition switch just crapped the bed? Can I power probe a couple of the wires to essentially "hot-wire" the bike?

Red wire from the battery is connected ti the black wire when the switch is on - also, red/blk is connected to pink - unplug the key switch and short red to black and red/blk to pink
