Hello, bought aftermarket carb forr my 1988 trx200sx and the screw cap to throttle cable into carb is different diameter. Cannot figure out how to disassemble OEM cap and replace with larger aftermarket one. Is it soldered on? I've seen replacements that the cap has a screw together cap but this isn't.
That's because the OEM cable includes the carb top - you need tio contact the carb seller to get the proper cable or get a universal cable and make it the correct length to work. The seller said it would fit - he never claimed it was plug and play.
Thx. I just thought there might be a way to unsolder or uncrimp it. I guess I will choose to just try and rebuild my super nasty, years idle, ethanol eroded one instead and send new one back. Appreciate your knowledge 😊. I think it takes a #35 and either a #98 or #100 jet?
