Have had this 2WD quad for years; been a work horse for us. But, it started running really bad; cleaned carb with no change. Someone suggested just buying a new carb for $30 vs spending the same for a rebuild kit. So that's what I did. The problem with new carb is the choke circuit. The original has a short needle valve vs the new with much larger. So, the choke cable won't hook up; it's too short. The end of cable doesn't even come through the plastic elbow that screws into carb. I even disconnected it from the control on the handlebars and was able to connect it on the carb end, but no way to get it all hooked up. The new carb runs, but it's no quite right and I think the choke is pulled on a bit with the cable maxed out. I have no problem spending a couple bucks for a new cable, but how do I know it'll fit? Is there a difference in choke cables?

THERE'S DIFFERENCES IN CARBURETORS AND CHOKE CABLES

Just because the Amazon seller says it will fit does not mean it will fit without modification.

Contact the seller and ask what cable is needed to complete the installation.
