1993 4 TRAX carburetor Questions

I bought my 1993 4 TRAX new and have ridden it for years. It’s been kept in the barn in WV and it’s in pretty good shape no rust and the plus is the gas tank is also free of rust. A real bonus
It has sat for a few years and wouldn’t start so I thought it was time to give it a complete maintenance.
unfortunately to my surprise parts are getting hard to find.
I started to order parts for the carb and noticed most of the parts are unavailable so I order an aftermarket carb from Amazon. The first one ran a bit then loaded up and wouldn’t start so I ordered another one. Same problem
I then checked the pilot screw which was turned out 3 3/4 turns. My original was 2 1/4 so I tried that with no help. So it’s back to trying to rebuild my original carb.

Does anyone know the size of the original OEM main jet?
Second question has anyone had any luck with aftermarket carbs and if so where did you buy it?
I adjusted the valve lash and am running new gas.

Welcome to the forum

The 93 TRX300EX had a #120 main jet standard

The TRX300 C3 used a 125 as did the TRX300FW

All Amazon carbs are junk - I have had no success with any Chinese counterfeit carburetors and have trashed all of them and bought used OEM carbs and rebuilt them. BTW - rebuilding a carb is more involved than installing a kit - a kit just supplies the rebuilder with an assortment of commonly needed parts that compliment the rebuilding process.

Thank you for the reply. I figured the aftermarket carbs were junk so I ordered $260 dollars worth of parts yesterday. I bought both jets just in case I’ll install the 120 first which should work in my 300A model.
I’ve rebuilt quite a few carbs on YamahaTW200’s. Looks about the same as the 2001 to present TW carbs. Sucks I can’t get a new carb but I’m sure I’ll get it running
Thanks again.
