[SLICK ATV]

I have a 2000 Honda 400 ex. The clutch will not move/engage when the clutch is pulled. I'm not sure if I need a new clutch wire or if there is something with the clutch itself? I'm new to ATV maintenance and this will be my first big diagnosis. I'm looking for suggestions to diagnosis the problem. Thanks
