Saw these pretty reasonable priced shocks on eBay and am wondering if there legit or Chinese knock offs thanks!

I don't know about that - I have never used them or know anybody who has - I prefer to have my shocks serviced by Pro-Action Racing Suspension

I replaced the front shocks on my 08 400 EX with a used pair of 450 R shocks that I bought on ebay some time ago. The 400 stock shocks are terrible my knees were constantly banging back and forth on the tank. It was a pretty easy swap and you can find them used for cheap. You do have to grind away a little bit of aluminum where the top of the shock rubs when the suspension is at full travel. I'm happy with the results. I'd go after used parts that are from a reputable maker than unknowns. You can send the stock 450 shocks out to get worked on if need be but mine worked fine as is. Hope this helps.
