I have an 01 400ex it is completely stock and I looked at my ignition today I think it has been tampered with with the guy before me the two little plugs that the ignition hooks two there is a light green wire that hooks to darker green wire and another dark green wire hooks to black is that right if it isn't could that cause shorts

Are you describing the wirs at the key switch or the cdi module?

I figured it out thanks the wires were switched around and the key switch
