No its not true, if you race it every weekend at the track then about every 10 to 15 hr"s of riding i do mine once a year wreather it nids it or not but that just me. I run a 14/1 compression motor
ok thanks. i do alot of trail riding mostly but ride very agressively and try to keep up with a yz250 dirt bike on the trail and the track but i dont like rebuilding my stuff all the time wat do u think i would be better off with a 450r or stay with the 400ex
I have a 400EX. I love it. IT all depends on how fast you wanna be. THe 450 is a fast and can be made faster than a 400ex can. If I was a track/race guy I would prefer a 450. For the trails and an occasional track blast the 400EX is great.
I see lots of guys riding 450,s on the trails but the best all round trail guad in my opinion is the 400EX. You can lug these suckers way down and you dont have to worry about busting a radiator on sticks and such.
I agree wholeheartedly with the comment about keeping up with dirtbikes. Adding my two cents, it depends on what you want the suspension to be too. Trail riding on my 450 can be brutal on my legs and butt and by the day's end I'm wishing I were sitting on something like a Bombardier DS650.
