Brake light works fine when motor is off. Hit the front brake, hit the back brake, light comes on.

Once I've started the motor and have the quad running, you go to hit the rear brake or front brake and the brake light either flickers a bit, or doesn't work at all... any suggestions?

Check the ground connections (including making sure the motor mount bolts are tight)
