Hi

looking for some advice

iv added a battery to my trx 450r 2005, and want the stator to charge it. I’m I right in saying I can tap into the red and green after the regulator/rectifier and go to the battery for charging ? Or is there more involved doing this? for instance upgrading the stator? Any other wiring etc ?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I don't understand the desire to add a battery, but all you have to do is find the condenser and install the battery in place of it - no rewiring required - red to pos and green to neg. View attachment 5259
Thank you 😊. That sounds simple but someone decided to remove the condenser and left it unplugged( only owned this a few weeks ). Do you think the stator will be enough to charge a battery ? Thank you

If the AC output of the stator is over 50 volts at about 5000 RPM,it should be fine for charging a battery without a high load - it would be best to install a lithium battery which has a low demand of charge rate.

Thank you for your advice il get testing the stator output before I hook it to the battery 😎.
As I’m struggling to find where the condenser connected, can I tap of the red cable after the regulator/rectifier ? 😎
