Hey yall I'm new to this forums site and have a few questions, first of all my names Anthony,

I am buying a 2011 Honda 300ex engine off of craigslist, I have a Honda 250x ATV frame with everything on it just needs the motor, my 250x motor is blown that is why I'm buying this one, my uncle told me that the engine should fit o the frame, but the this I need to get is a CDI box and wire harness for the 300ex, so I found a CDI box and wire harness package (used) on eBay for about $110, the guy said They should fit the 300ex motor I'm buy from him, I just want to see if this will fit that motor, it seems like it would fit but just want to make sure here is the link http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=121494368166 , thank you so much looking to here some great responses

Honda didn't make any 300 models in 2011, so be careful with that

Last year for a 300 was 2009 and it was the only year for a 300X without electric start

2008 was the last production year for a 300EX

The motor sets sideways in the 2009 250X while the 300X and 300EX is conventional mounting

Since you didn't specify the year of your 250X, if it happens to be a 2002 thru 2014, it sits sideways and the 300X motor will not work
