Here it is; the green wire is ground. The black wire with the blue trace is the power wire to the fuel pump. The black/green wire to the fuel cut relay is the power wire to the relay. When the relay closes, power goes from the black/green wire to the black/blue wire turning on the fuel pump. The black/green wire also goes to the engine stop switch, turns into a black/white wire then supplies power to the CDI unit. The fuel cut relay is turned on when power from the CDI unit's black/yellow wire tells the coil to fire. The relay will not close until the engine is cranking or running.

Now to confuse you - this only works if the neutral switch is working - neutral light on?

Was the question answered? I am having he exact same problem! Not sure what to do and discovered this forum. Was there any follow up?
I have a the problem as well I have no power to the fuel pump. But I have spark and with my hand on the carb I can get it to want to start and have even got it to start and run like a champ but when I turn it off It will not start again. All this with no power to the pump. So I ran a 12 volt to the pump and it appears to be running. I have even pulled the line and ran some fuel out to make sure. Reattached and still not start. New CDI, Pump, fuel relay and still no start. Can some one PLEASE Help?

Thank you very much this is Toyogi for some reason I had to resign in as Toyogi2. The big question is if I run a 12 volt and a ground to pump is runs for a few seconds like it should but I still only get a pop and it is like it wants to start but no continued run. What else can I look for? Where do you get OEM parts for this year it looks as if all the important things are discontinued or after market and I was told the after market are mostly junk? And can I order a shop manual for this the links and the places I have gone to order a manual are all dead ends. Thanks for the help I will try your suggestion this weekend (I hope).
Do you have a 1988 TRX350D?

I have the manual in PDF and can email you it or a link to it. Just send me your email address in a PM.

Since it's carbureted, the fuel pump is not keeping it from starting or running - as long as the carb is full of fuel, it should start and run until the carb runs dry. The fuel pump just assures delivery of fuel to the carb.
Yes I have the 1988 TRX350D where the tank is below and behind the carb where gravity feed is not happening. The pump is pumping feeding the carb, I just need to take the carb off and try a rebuild?
At least check that the float needle is not stuck in the seat
You closed the PM for replies - I sent the manual to the prescribed email address
