Installed a hot cam stage 1 on my 2008 400ex. Ran it all weekend and it runs great, just makes a noticeable tick noise now. I have heard that hot cams are much louder, so is this probably the case? I set the valve lashes correctly(to the best of my ability).

Check the cam chain tensioner and/or the cam chain - most ticking originates from there

Hot cams tend to tick a little louder than stock. As long as your ATV is running smoothly, then it shouldn't be a problem/
