Jetting problems on my 86 trx250r

I just recently moved from Oregon to Utah, with an elevation increase of about 5,000 feet. My quad ran perfectly in oregon. I took it to local honda world to have the rejet it for me because of the move. When I got it home it fired up right away. As I ride it and go through the gears it seems like my powerband hits really really early and it won't idle no matter how long I warm it up. Any ideas? I want my bike to run the way it was before.

Bigger pilot jet.you need more fuel at higher altitude.i would say they only changed the Main jet.you might try backing out the air screw.if that wont straiten it out.bigger pilot.
Hate to say it but it won't ever run like it did in oregon, high altitudes kill a motor, you will be able to get it to run better than it does know, good luck.

No, you need a smaller jet at higher altitude. There's less air at higher altitudes, so you need less fuel to keep the air/fuel mixture where it needs to be.
