I have a 1989 honda trx300fw which i purchased for about $200. The plastics on it are pretty bad and not worth fixing. I have looked around to buy plastics but they are so expensive. Ive seen newer model plastics go for much cheaper. So my question is, can i put/fit plastics from much newer models onto my 89 model.

ive seen people with like 2000 modle 300's put the new 05 up plastics on them. on my 400's 05 have different plastic but same mounting places so i guess you could.
