I am trying to replace the rocker arms on an 87 trx 250x. The problem that I am having is I am not sure on how to remove the rocker arm retaining pin. Anything would help. Thank you.

I got the pins out but now I need to know how to adjust the rocker arms.

Sorry, I missed your inquiry about removing the rocker arms. If you removed the pins by heating the head cover and using vice grips, it is best to install new pins.

Are you inquiring about how to set the valve clearance? There is no adjustment for the rocker arms. If that's the case, set the engine a TDC of the compression stroke and use 2 feeler blades (one for each tappet adjuster) to set the intake at .004 and the exhaust at .003 inch.
