The manual does not specify timing the pressure plate - look at the breakdown and assure the correct installation of the parts - I have found it easiest to assemble parts 2 through 6 and just use 2 springs with washers under the bolt head to lightly hold the assembly together - I then put the assembly into the basket by moving the friction disks to align with the basket slots then turning the transmission shaft to get the inner basket to slide onto the splines, then put the nut on. This design has the pressure plate on the inside of the assembly. But, I don't understand having the clutch out to replace the top end?
